General Responsibilities:
As part of the Marketing and Communications team the Videographer/Photographer plays a key role in supporting student enrollment engagement and retention as well as building trust and understanding within the communities we serve.
Under general supervision the Videographer/Photographer would be responsible for creating high-quality compelling videos and photographs that highlight the colleges various academic and support programs along with telling the stories of our diverse student body. Content created would be used in marketing materials social media the colleges website and media releases.

Essential Functions:
Serve as primary college photographer and videographer including college events campus life activities employee portraits and other opportunities as assigned.

• Provide photography and videography for various college projects athletics communications and related needs. Collaborate with others in Marketing and Communications on their photography and videography needs.
• Produce content and graphics for use in video productions.
• Establish related procedures to ensure consistency in process and resulting photographs.

• Develop plan for capturing and sustaining program-related video.

• Coordinate photoshoots and video production projects with outside organizations as needed.
• Maintain an image and video library for Marketing and Communications.

• Coordinate with Marketing Outreach the Foundation and other departments key to enrollment to develop video and photo ideas that advance the WWCC brand and mission.
• Create quality multimedia storytelling using videography photography graphics and other tools.
• Drive video and still photo projects from pre-production through post-production to achieve high-quality content.

• Organize and schedule interviews and/or video/photo shoots with WWCC employees and students and community members.
• Work with Marketing team to prepare and execute interviews for video and social media.
• Convert videos and photos to proper form and content for social media advertising.
• Plan and perform post-production tasks which includes editing photos reviewing footage tape logging rough cuts audio adjustment color correction and final editing using video and photo software.
• Serve as an integral part of the WWCC Web Team to assist with web page design and keep fresh photos and videos on the website.
• Transport set up and operate various production equipment including cameras audio and video recorders lighting equipment props and microphones for location and studio production.

• Collaborate with Social Media & Content Specialist for collegewide social media and website projects.
• Provide support as needed for events interviews meetings and projects which may include tasks such as scheduling information gathering photography and setup.
• Help create and follow approved brand identity and related guidelines.

• Support all other functions of the Office of Marketing and Communications as assigned.

• Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras audio and video recorders and other production equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting of photography video audio and lighting equipment and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Establish and maintain the colleges video/photo/visual archive in a manner that establishes consistent file naming sizes and structure.
• Manage and maintain photography and video equipment supplies backdrops and related items.

• Ability to conceptualize design and produce a variety of visual communication materials; design and produce electronic presentations; lay out and produce printed materials.
• Ability to produce video planning activities including research script development storyboard illustration titles audio editing; provides control room and camera operation assistance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design and layout. Strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign Photoshop and video editing software.
• Familiarity with emerging design and social media trends as well as the tools to achieve them.
• Effectively conveys ideas and information through written and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work quickly and independently.
• Ability to prioritize while managing multiple projects/stakeholders/locations.
• Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels within an organization.
• Ability to effectively organize multiple work assignments involving competing priorities to produce work products that are accauate of high quality and meet deadlines.

• Bachelors degree in digital media production communications media arts photography instructional media or related field from an accredited institution AND two years experience in television production audio production instructional design or related field which includes the operation of television film and audio recording equipment ORan equivalent mix of education and experience that demonstrates the candidate meets all competency requirements for this position.
• Strong portfolio featuring storytelling/marketing visuals.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop and video editing software.
• Demonstrated experience in photography and videography including editing.
• Post-production skills include ability to add music and graphics.

• Familiarity with After Effects Premiere or other video editing software.
• Experience operating a drone for video/photo purposes.
• Experience in motion graphics titling and other video special effects.
• Experience in business or organization use of social media such as Instagram Facebook and YouTube.
• Experience in web design.
• Experience with still photography.
• Familiarity withHTMLCSS.
• Higher education work experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

This classified position is in a bargaining unit for which WPEA Higher Ed is the exclusive representative.

This position typically works 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Summer work schedule is normally adjusted to a 4/10 Monday through Thursday work week. Requires an occasional flexible shift to accommodate college schedules activities & events (i.e. occasional weekend and evening work to capture and create the WWCC story).

Work is equally performed in an indoor temperature-controlled office environment and outdoor uncontrolled elements. Work is active in nature. Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens. Work is performed in a semi-open office setting with frequent interruptions and background noise. This position works directly with students/clients. Work involves constant interruptions and requirement to answer on demand questions by phone in person or electronically. Ability to move up to 25 lbs. occasionally when making video productions with or without the assistance of a hand truck or dollie. Work will require frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. There may be occasional to frequent change in position from sedentary standing stooping and walking. Frequent oral and auditory communication with others. Some travel is required and is typically local or regional for training special events and to support the WWCC Clarkston campus. Standard tools and equipment used such as digital cameras camcorders computer tripod lights and stands microphone and props.

The college has an excellent benefit program including medical dental life and long-term disability insurance; paid sick leave; paid vacation leave; and retirement plan. All full-time employees will automatically have 3% of taxable income deferred into the State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP) unless declined at time of hire.
