Job Summary/Description:

WTVY is looking for a Newscast/Digital Producer to join our news team.â Youll be responsible for creating writing and producing. We are looking for an energetic creative Digital Video Editor / Content Producer to join our newsroom team. This is a full-time role ideal for someone looking to build a career in modern journalism and digital media. You will shoot edit and produce compelling video across web streaming and social platforms helping us connect with and inform our communities in real time. One or more of our daily broadcasts and digital content. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling demonstrate a grasp of local regional national and international news and be a professional who thrives under deadline pressure. Salary is based on experience.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Video Production & Editing: Shoot edit and assemble high-quality video for daily news coverage digital platforms and breaking news.
Vertical & Social Video: Create engaging platform-tailored vertical video content (Reels TikTok Shorts mobile apps) optimized for mobile audiences.
Digital Newsroom Integration: Collaborate closely with digital and broadcast teams to package and distribute content quickly and accurately across our CMS apps and digital channels.
Field Production: Operate field gear safely and efficiently to capture interviews b-roll and breaking events.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Working knowledge of video shooting techniques composition and non-linear editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or Edius).
Strong understanding of digital news workflows and fast-paced newsroom environments.
Knowledge of vertical video best practices social media trends and mobile-first storytelling.
Ability to lift carry and operate field equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
Valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR background check required).
Flexibility to work varied hours including early mornings nights weekends and holidays depending on daily news demand and breaking news events.
