Job Summary

The South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE) practices the culturally responsive pedagogy approach in providing an inclusive diverse equitable safe and healthy education that supports learning and success both personally and academically to the 59000 residents of Lunenburg and Queens Counties an area of 5250 square kilometres and a total of 23 schools.

Description:

The Vice Principal is an instructional and operational leader of the school responsible for fostering a positive inclusive and high-performing learning environment where all students and staff can thrive. The Vice Principal supports the Principal in providing strategic leadership in teaching and learning supports staff growth and development builds strong relationships with students families and the broader community and ensures the effective day-to-day management of the school in alignment with provincial policies standards and system priorities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification
  • Masters degree directly related to the position (ILA Diploma in Instructional Leadership Leadership OR Educational Administration)
  • Completion of the SSRCE Aspiring School Administrators Program NSELC ALPProgram or equivalent
  • Administrative Experience PP-9
  • Teaching Experience P-9
