Job Summary
Northwest Partners is looking for a Vice President of Finance to join a leading defense technology organization. As a key member of the executive leadership team you will drive financial strategy oversee planning and reporting support capital allocation decisions and partner with senior leaders to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate brings executive finance leadership experience a strategic mindset and a background in government contracting defense or another highly regulated industry. This is a full-time onsite opportunity in Alabama offering a competitive compensation package annual bonus and excellent benefits.
- Lead the development and execution of the companys financial strategy aligning financial objectives with overall business goals.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to translate business priorities into actionable financial plans and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee financial planning budgeting forecasting reporting and performance analysis providing timely and accurate insights to support decision-making.
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls governance practices and risk management processes to protect the organizations assets and ensure compliance.
- Drive capital allocation decisions and evaluate investments that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance organization while fostering collaboration across Finance IT Operations and other business functions.
- Support government and defense programs by providing strategic financial leadership within a complex contracting environment.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with investors lenders auditors and external advisors as needed representing the company with professionalism and credibility.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes enhance reporting capabilities and increase organizational efficiency.
- Executive-level finance leadership experience with a proven ability to drive strategy and partner with senior leadership.
- Background in government contracting defense aerospace manufacturing or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis budgeting reporting internal controls and risk management.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and building collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards and complex business operations is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
