The VP Manufacturing for Pierce Manufacturing is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for shaping and executing manufacturing strategies that drive operational excellence productivity and sustainable business growth. This role provides end-to-end leadership of production operations ensuring safety quality delivery and cost objectives are consistently achieved.

This leader will guide performance across a mix of traditional highly customized discrete manufacturing with an on-going significant investment in selected automated operations and state-of-the-art high-flow production assembly lines supporting Fire Apparatus operations These investments are planned for implementation through 2026 and 2027 and are expected to deliver operational transformation resulting in significant production throughput while maintaining best-in-class quality.

In close partnership with internal and external stakeholders including procurement partners engineering customers etc. this leader drives continuous improvement operational efficiency and alignment with enterprise strategic priorities.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Champion a safety-first high-performance culture grounded in lean principles and accountability

  • Implement and sustain a Team Daily Management system that drives daily accountability accelerates problem resolution and embeds continuous improvement into the operating culture

  • Participate in the development and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with business objectives to drive competitive advantage

  • Lead the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and digital solutions (Industry 4.0) to enhance operational capability and performance

  • Provide enterprise-level cross-functional leadership across Manufacturing Operations Quality Materials Maintenance and Safety

  • Oversee production operations including capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize throughput efficiency and cost performance

  • Establish and sustain robust quality systems that meet or exceed customer and industry standards

  • Define monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Own and manage manufacturing budgets ensuring delivery against financial operational and strategic targets

  • Build develop and retain a high-performing leadership team to support current operations and future growth

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in manufacturing management Business Administration or related field.

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in manufacturing.

  • Eight (8) or more years of management experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive leadership experience in heavy equipment manufacturing with deep knowledge of vehicle production processes and quality systems

  • Demonstrated success leading highly automated advanced manufacturing environments including the application of Industry 4.0 technologies

  • Proven track record supporting large-scale complex manufacturing operations

  • Strong executive leadership capability with experience leading large diverse teams through transformation and growth

    Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations quality systems and supply chain integration

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering measurable operational and financial results

  • Experience driving lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement cultures

  • Thorough knowledge of safety regulatory and compliance requirements within a manufacturing environment

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders

Pay Range:

$189800.00 - $370200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
