Position Overview: Our client is seeking a compassionate adaptable veterinarian (DVM) to join our team of 4 full-time and 2 part-time veterinarians. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety values mission-driven work and thrives in a collaborative high-impact environment.


Our veterinarians rotate through multiple service areas including wellness high-quality high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) dentistry urgent care soft tissue surgery and mobile outreach. This model allows for professional growth skill diversification and meaningful community impact.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care across service areas including:
  • Wellness and preventive care
  • Spay/neuter surgery (HQHVSN model)
  • Dental procedures
  • Urgent care services
  • Mobile clinic services in the community
  • Rotate between departments based on organizational needs and individual skillset
  • Perform physical exams diagnostics treatment planning and client education
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians assistants and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Support a positive respectful and team-oriented culture
  • Uphold PRCKCs mission of accessible judgment-free care

Competitive compensation package including:

  • Salary range for full-time: $100000 $120000 based on experience and skillset
  • Salary range for part-time: $80000 to $100000 based on experience and skillset

Requirements

Education & Licensure:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Current Missouri veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
  • Current Kansas veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).

Experience:

  • Experience in high-volume spay/neuter shelter medicine or nonprofit veterinary practice preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during surgery and clinical work.

  • Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals medical equipment and cleaning agents.
