Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in State College PA. We are open to Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and experienced veterinary technicians who are passionate about patient care and want to grow with a supportive team.

Under new leadership our hospital is building on a strong foundation while continuing to improve our systems workflow and team culture. Youll work alongside an enthusiastic DVM team that values collaboration teaching and professional development.

What Were Looking For

• CVT LVT or RVT preferred; experienced veterinary technicians are encouraged to apply
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting
• Strong interest in providing high-quality patient care
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Reliable and organized
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a structured environment with established protocols and SOPs
• Willingness to learn grow and contribute to a positive team culture
• Commitment to calm low-stress patient handling and care

What Youll Do

As a Veterinary Technician youll work closely with our veterinarians and support the daily flow of the hospital.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist veterinarians with appointments and patient care
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor recovery
• Assist with surgery and anesthesia monitoring
• Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures
• Assist with dental procedures
• Administer medications and treatments
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate clients on medications treatments and preventative care
• Maintain a clean organized and efficient treatment area
• Follow hospital protocols and standard operating procedures
• Work collaboratively with the technician and DVM teams
• Help provide a calm low-stress experience for patients

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Flexible 4-day or 5-day work week
• Currently closed on Saturdays
• Saturday hours will be introduced soon beginning with approximately 2 rotating Saturdays per month
