Veterinary Technician or Assistant AvianExotics at Angell West Temporary Position

This is a temporary full-time position 10am-8:30pm 40hrs a week rotating weekends and holidays. This a temporary position with the potential to transition into a regular full-time role.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant or a Certified Vet Technician to join our Waltham team.

This position provides technical support to our Avian/Exotics Veterinarian by assisting with case management and technical procedures of A/E patients as well as communications with clients and referring veterinarians. We are looking for applicants with Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including venipuncture IV catheter placement anesthesia gavage feeding medication administration and critical care.

This position provides a unique opportunity to practice in an intimate client-focused setting but with numerous amenities from the larger MSPCA-Angell Boston hospital as support. We are a values based organization with a focus on client service patient care and life-work balance.

COMPENSATION:

Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour
Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr $5000 Sign on Bonus for CVTs!
