GSVS Morristown is excited to welcome experienced Veterinary Technicians and CVTs/LVTs/RVTs to our growing outpatient surgery team! This is an excellent opportunity for technicians passionate about surgical nursing anesthesia monitoring and providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced specialty environment - all while enjoying a consistent schedule withno weekends!

About Us

Located in northern New Jersey approximately 25 miles west of New York City. We are looking for veterinary technicians who would like to join our family and help us continue to provide veterinary care to the community we have faithfully served since 1994. We are committed to providing advanced veterinary care while fostering a collaborative supportive environment for our team members.

What Youll Do

As a Surgical & Anesthesia Veterinary Technician you will play a critical role in patient safety and perioperative care. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for surgical procedures
  • Inducing monitoring and recovering anesthesia patients
  • Monitoring anesthetic depth vital signs and patient stability throughout procedures
  • Maintaining accurate anesthesia and treatment records
  • Calculating drug dosages and anesthesia protocols
  • Placing IV catheters and administering fluid therapy
  • Assisting surgeons during procedures and maintaining sterile technique
  • Preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment
  • Obtaining and processing laboratory samples for pre-operative testing
  • Assessing and managing patient pain levels
  • Providing attentive nursing care before and after surgery
  • Educating clients on post-operative care and discharge instructions
  • Collaborating closely with veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent patient care
  • Maintaining a clean organized and fully stocked surgical suite
About You

Qualifications:
  • CVT/LVT preferred or a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong anesthesia monitoring skills required
  • Experience in surgical patient care required
  • Knowledge of anesthetic protocols physiology and patient monitoring
  • Proficiency in laboratory sample collection and processing
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented attitude with a passion for patient advocacy
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service
  • Honest dependable and eager to continue learning and growing

Salary: $23/hr to $34/hr depending on skills experience and credentials
