Hassayampa Veterinary Services is seeking a dependable and motivated Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team in Wickenburg Arizona. This entry-level veterinary position is a great opportunity for someone who has completed Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant training and is ready to gain hands-on experience while building a career in animal healthcare.

As a Veterinary Technician Assistant youll work alongside our veterinarians and veterinary technicians to help keep patient care running smoothly. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting technicians and veterinarians with patient handling and restraint
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas for appointments and procedures

• Cleaning sanitizing and maintaining equipment and patient areas

• Assisting with basic patient care under the direction of the veterinary team
• Preparing supplies and helping keep treatment areas organized and stocked

• Supporting the team during examinations treatments and procedures

• Helping ensure patients remain safe and comfortable

• Following clinic protocols for cleanliness safety and infection control

• Learning and developing additional veterinary assisting skills as experience grows

Ideal candidates will have:

• Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant coursework training or completion of a related program preferred

• A genuine interest in veterinary medicine and animal care

• A willingness to learn and receive hands-on training

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• A positive dependable and team-oriented attitude

• The ability to safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments

• The ability to remain productive in a busy veterinary environment

• Reliable transportation to and from the clinic

• Availability for full-time employment

• Reliable transportation is required

• $17$19 per hour depending on training and experience

• Full-Time

• Clinic hours:

  • MondayFriday: 8:00 AM5:30 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM12:00 PM

  • Sunday: Closed
