What Youll Be Doing
- Greet clients and patients with a warm professional and compassionate approach
- Answer multi-line phones schedule appointments and manage appointment flow
- Obtain and update patient medical histories and client information
- Check clients in and out and process invoices and payments accurately
- Fill prescriptions and assist with food and over-the-counter product requests
- Communicate patient needs and client concerns with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter information into veterinary practice management software
- Assist clients with questions regarding appointments services medications and hospital policies
- Maintain a clean organized and welcoming reception area
- Provide compassionate support to clients during routine visits emergencies and end-of-life experiences
What Were Looking For
- Previous veterinary reception veterinary receptionist veterinary client service or veterinary hospital experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable answering phones and assisting multiple clients in a busy environment
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to multitask prioritize and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with dogs cats and other companion animals
- Compassionate dependable team-oriented and willing to learn
- Ability to lift and carry up to 3050 pounds when needed
