Veterinary Kennel Technician

Job duties include but are not limited to:

As a Kennel Technician youll play an important role in providing compassionate care for our hospitalized and boarding patients. Youll help ensure pets are safe comfortable and well cared for while supporting our veterinary team with daily hospital operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide daily care feeding walking bathing and medicating of hospitalized and boarding pets.
• Monitor and document appetite behavior medications and any changes in a patients condition.
• Clean and disinfect kennels treatment areas and hospital equipment.
• Wash laundry and restock hospital supplies.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary assistants with animal restraint exams and post-operative patient care.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Help maintain a clean organized and safe hospital environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate dependable and enjoys working in a fast-paced team-oriented veterinary setting.

Qualifications :

We are looking for someone with:

• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting standing walking and handling large dogs pet food and supplies.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting practices or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate patient and calm when caring for sick injured or anxious animals.
• Ability to learn how to administer medications and recognize changes in an animals condition.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
