What Youll Do

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with examinations diagnostics and treatments
• Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations and medical procedures
• Prepare examination rooms treatment areas surgical suites and medical equipment
• Assist with laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
• Support surgical procedures and help prepare patients for surgery
• Monitor recovering patients and communicate any changes to the medical team
• Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized and recovering patients
• Maintain clean organized and properly stocked treatment areas
• Accurately document treatments observations and patient information
• Help maintain an efficient and organized clinic workflow
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant animal hospital assistant kennel technician veterinary receptionist or veterinary support team member is preferred
• Experience in a general practice surgical urgent care or high-volume veterinary setting is a plus
• Comfortable safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
• Interest in surgery anesthesia diagnostics and patient care
• Dependable organized and able to take initiative
• Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy veterinary clinic
• Professional positive and team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication skills with clients and coworkers
• Willingness to learn accept feedback and continue developing new skills
• Commitment to compassionate and high-quality patient care
