Veterinary Assistant Genoa Animal Hospital

Located in Genoa Illinois Genoa Animal Hospital is a full-service small-animal practice that has been serving the community for more than 30 years. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats including wellness and preventive medicine dentistry diagnostics and imaging surgery urgent and emergency care and laser therapy. With a focus on compassionate care technical expertise and individualized attention the team is committed to helping pets live healthier lives while building lasting relationships with the families they serve. We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with anesthesia dental cleanings surgery and be comfortable with and have an interest in interacting with clients. Schedule is Monday to Friday no weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.

• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.

Compensation starts at $21/hr and is dependent upon experience.
