We started ArkVets because we believed veterinary medicine could be practiced differently in hospitals where doctors are trusted techs are developed and clients are told the truth about their pets care without being pressured into it. Were locally and family owned three hospitals across Metro Phoenix and we intend to stay that way.

Were not a chain. Were not a rollup. Theres no regional VP flying in with a new script. When somethings broken you can tell the owner directly shell answer. When something works it becomes part of how we practice everywhere.

That independence is the point. Its what lets us do fear-free-inspired medicine as the default keep estimates transparent protect our doctors from burnout and invest in the equipment and the people who make good medicine possible.

Avondale is our longest-standing hospital a 30-year neighborhood practice we took over in 2017 and fully remodeled in 2021. So you get the trust of a well-established clientele inside a modern purpose-fit hospital.

The building is 5000 square feet with two large surgery suites a separate contagious-disease area digital radiology ultrasound Ligasure and a Class IV therapy laser. Theres a medical director on-site and 3 techs per DVM (more as you take on more).

Avondale itself is a growing West Valley community young families first-time pet parents and a client base that mirrors the neighborhood. A meaningful share of our conversations happen in Spanish and doctors who can hold those conversations directly are especially valued here.

Around 18 appointments per day with 12 surgery days per week you help shape the split. General practice mixed with a dedicated urgent care service so no two days look identical. Youll see the routine wellness caseload and the harder cases that keep the work interesting.

Youll have surgery and dentistry coaching available quarterly doctor training programs and individual mentorship in whatever you want to grow ultrasound endoscopy advanced surgery leadership. We invest in the specific direction each doctor wants to go.

Our default is low-stress fear-free-inspired care but we run urgent care too and we wont pretend a scared actively bleeding patient at 4:45 always gets the slow cookies-first workup. Honesty about the work is part of the culture.

No mandatory on-call. If a shift needs coverage we ask we dont require. Doctors choose whether to say yes.

Base salary: $180000 guaranteed floor against production classic ProSal no negative accrual
