Vessel Manager

Principal Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day operations of an assigned fleet of 1012 line-haul towboats ( HP) ensuring alignment with Company Core as primary liaison between vessel personnel and shore-side strong working relationships with vessel employees and support crew vessels are staffed with fully qualified Masters Pilots Chiefs and compliance with all applicable regulations and company river conditions and provide information to support safe navigation to vessel emergencies minimizing downtime through effective onsite regular vessel inspections to ensure operational readiness and equipment company policies including discipline and performance the Company in dealings with the U.S. Coast Guard and other regulatory incidents and injuries and ensure proper and implement policies to improve safety efficiency and vessels operate within the Safety Management System and continuous improvement other duties as :Demonstrated leadership and personnel management experience industry experience communication interpersonal and relationship-building to travel approximately 40% to vessel locations as drivers license with a good driving record to participate in an on-call rotation including evenings and with modern navigation and vessel management understanding of maritime regulations compliance requirements and vessel inspection standards.
