A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Venture Capital Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing emerging growth companies venture capital funds founders investors and technology companies throughout the business lifecycle.

36 years of venture capital emerging companies or corporate transactional experience
Experience representing venture-backed companies founders investors or venture capital funds preferred
Experience with seed financings Series A through later-stage financings convertible notes SAFEs and growth equity transactions
Experience advising companies on corporate governance strategic transactions and general corporate matters
Experience with M&A transactions is a plus
Strong drafting analytical and communication skills
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
