Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Vegetation Groundman position offers a valuable entry-level opportunity to build a rewarding career in the critical field of clearing and maintaining our nations Power Grid. As a Vegetation Groundman you will play a vital role by assisting in the removal clearing and maintenance of civil matting and forestry clearance efforts. Essential Functions:
Securing the safety of yourself and others utilizing proper tools safety equipment and PPE.
Assist in visual observation and safety checks in the process of vegetation management and clearing.
Assisting fellow workers in meeting project objectives.
Readily joining storm restoration efforts in times of need.
Operating vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner.
Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
Available to work outages storms emergencies including on call rotation.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within 60 days.
Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
Lift carry push or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work for extended periods at different job locations including outofstate assignments.
Willing to work outside of normal business hours including weekends holidays emergency callouts and overtime.

While performing the responsibilities of this job you will be required to talk listen and use hand signals to communicate. The job frequently requires you to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle objects operate tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of this job you are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. You are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. You will perform job responsibilities in extreme heat cold wet windy and storm conditions.
