Job Description: As a System Analyst you will serve as a key member of the design and delivery team supporting both Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycle initiatives. You will be responsible for analyzing business and system challenges documenting processes and translating requirements into actionable technical solutions. The role demands strong ownership the ability to manage multiple workstreams and a proactive approach toward continuous improvement in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand business processes and identify gaps
Conduct root cause analysis to determine system deficiencies and improvement opportunities
Document current and future state processes using process flows context diagrams and data flow diagrams
Gather analyze and document requirements user stories and acceptance criteria
Translate business needs into detailed user stories use cases and technical artifacts
Decompose requirements into epics features and user stories with clear dependencies
Support backlog management and assist Product Owners in prioritization activities
Create wireframes prototypes and conceptual designs to support solution development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers testers and stakeholders
Perform quality assurance activities including test plan creation test case execution and regression testing
Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing and validate solutions against requirements
Facilitate meetings capture decisions and maintain project documentation
Provide regular updates on progress risks and issues to stakeholders
Support small-scale project coordination and manage individual workstreams
Identify and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency and quality
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
Minimum 10 years of experience in business and systems analysis
5 years of experience working as an Agile Business Analyst with strong understanding of Scrum methodologies
Experience managing product and sprint backlogs and requirements traceability
Strong experience translating business strategies into technical requirements and user stories
Proficiency in defining acceptance criteria and managing validation processes
Experience working with large complex multi-module systems
Strong expertise with Microsoft Office tools including Word Excel Visio Project and PowerPoint
Experience with application lifecycle management tools and practices
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under tight deadlines
Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting using Oracle or SQL Server
Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Experience using prototyping tools such as Figma or Balsamiq
Strong facilitation collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
