Job Description:
As a Sr. Azure Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for implementing configuring and managing cloud infrastructure within an enterprise Azure environment while ensuring high availability security and performance. You will provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud architecture networking and security policies supporting mission-critical systems and driving cloud transformation initiatives. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure services proactive troubleshooting and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including compute networking and security components
• Provide technical guidance on Azure resource deployment governance and best practices
• Monitor system performance using Azure monitoring tools and create dashboards and alerts for operational visibility
• Manage backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
• Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure
• Support and troubleshoot production applications across multiple technology stacks
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize infrastructure for applications
• Implement and maintain security policies and vulnerability management practices using security tools
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security frameworks
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to team members and stakeholders

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

• Strong experience implementing and managing Azure resources networking and security policies
• Experience working in mission-critical enterprise environments with high availability requirements
• Proven expertise in backup disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Experience planning and executing cloud migration strategies
• Familiarity with diverse technology stacks Java SQL Oracle and enterprise applications
• Strong troubleshooting skills supporting production environments
• Experience with security and vulnerability management tools
• Proficiency with Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor Workbooks and Alerts
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including OSI model and protocols
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide technical and leadership teams
• Experience working in collaborative and fast-paced environments

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect
• Networking certifications such as Network or CCNA

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
