Maintain a professional attitude with staff parents volunteers and children always.
Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment that supports childrens growth and development.
Work with the Center Manager/Project Director in designing bus routes. Drive the bus on designated routes five days per week.
Responsible for seeing children board and leave the bus in a safe manner.
Responsible for seeing that children are returned to parents or other authorized adults.
Responsible for seeing children are seated safely.
Responsible for seeing buses are always in good operating order and for reporting any problems to their direct supervisor.
Responsible for keeping Agency vehicles clean and waxed.
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the center facilities and vehicles.
Participate in the required Drug and Alcohol Testing for Bus Drivers. Assist in obtaining and documenting In-Kind (Non-Federal Match) for parent and community activities.
Responsible for data management of transportation area.
Education:
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Three months of experience driving a bus or similar size vehicle.
Must have a good driving record.
Must be at least 25 years of age.
Have a valid drivers license and able to get a school bus endorsement
Successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam prior to employment and annually thereafter.
Successfully pass a drug screening prior to employment.
Successfully complete a Bus Driver Road Test.
