Position Overview

The Vacation Specialist helps clients sort through the many choices involved in planning a vacation. This remote opportunity focuses on destination research client communication organization and personalized service. Specialists identify suitable options based on each clients needs and help make the planning process easier to understand.

No previous industry experience is necessary. Training is available to help you learn how to research destinations compare accommodations understand reservation procedures and communicate professionally with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather information about each clients vacation goals preferred dates destination interests and approximate budget.
  • Research resorts cruises hotels activities transportation tours and vacation packages.
  • Compare amenities availability policies and other important features.
  • Create organized vacation options that are easy for clients to review.
  • Explain the general differences between available options without overwhelming the client.
  • Assist clients with reservation procedures and verify all information for accuracy.
  • Record client preferences and maintain clear notes about conversations and decisions.
  • Monitor reservation deadlines and communicate important reminders.
  • Provide general information about documentation preparation and destination requirements.
  • Respond professionally when clients have questions or request changes.
  • Follow up after travel to gather feedback and maintain the relationship.
  • Complete training and stay informed about destinations and planning resources.
  • Build a personal client base through networking referrals and consistent service.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must currently reside in the United States or Mexico.
  • Reliable internet service and regular access to a computer or compatible device.
  • Strong online research and information-comparison skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet important deadlines.
  • Comfortable using email websites virtual training and online communication systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
  • Willing to complete training and participate in continued education.
  • Customer service research hospitality sales or administrative experience is helpful but not required.
