Schedule: Saturday 5a-10a Tues. 5a-10a Wed - Friday 5a-330p
Salary Range: $21.00-$26.00/hr
Job Summary:
The primary function of the Utility position is performing all functions as needed for the customer employee pickups and special picks. The Utility position will receive job specific training on the operation of PIT equipment. Must be trained in the safe operation of all equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Verify product invoice(s) to ensure accuracy of delivery sign off that product has been verified or notate and discrepancies on bill(s) and cover sheet prior to receiving.
- Receive product as it is delivered scan product using hand scanner efficiently and accurately.
- Palletize product (stack on pallets) according to weight and product type if needed.
- Re-throw pallets when product is damaged if needed.
- Breakdown and separate pallets when they are too high or of mixed product type if needed.
- Hand selects orders for customers within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures including dry cooler and freezer.
- Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example no stacking heavy-on-light labels facing out etc.).
- Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including but not limited to pallet jack scanner unit and personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- 6 months of previous warehouse experience required.
- Experience in operation of Powered Industrial Equipment including Riding Pallet Jack.
- Able to read write and communicate effectively relating to the job and the safety regulations.
- Strong problem solving organization and time management skills.
- Understand product placement and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Strong communication skills motivation and energy.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
- Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
- 1 year of order selection and warehouse experience in the foodservice distribution industry or related industry (2-3 years preferred)
