SALARY:$106400 - $126350 bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
If you are interested in a hands-on continuous improvement oriented fast-paced role in a world class manufacturing environment then our Utilities Manager role is for this role you will lead the powerhouse process work group made up of Utilities Operators and Maintenance Technicians. Responsible for overall coordination of safe process area operation and maintenance (high pressure steam boilers high voltage maintenance refrigeration air compressors CO2 system). Attending department meetings creating and executing action plans to meet critical metrics troubleshooting operational concerns on the fly developing relationships with technicians influencing change and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own execution of ATI strategy across all Factors ensuring effective implementation of autonomous team principles and associated routines to build team capability within the framework
Lead team performance engagement and culture including:
Conducting one-on-one reviews with all Operating Engineers at least twice per year
Providing ongoing coaching and real-time feedback
Maintaining a cohesive high-performing team environment
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance by promoting a strong safety culture reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring adherence to all environmental health and regulatory requirements. Lead incident prevention response and follow-up actions
Manage workforce planning and capability development including:
Creating weekly operator schedules
Developing and executing training plans for new team members
Monitoring SKAP progress through weekly check-ins and approving skill acquisition (with Process Engineer support for technical validation as needed)
Lead performance management routines including:
Department Daily meetings
Problem Solving sessions
ATI Weekly reviews
ATO check-ins
End-of-shift meetings
Ensure clear priorities are established actions are tracked to closure and ownership is driven to the frontline team
Drive continuous improvement including identifying process losses leading root cause analysis and implementing sustainable countermeasures aligned with ATI methodology to improve operational performance
Oversee Flex Backlog execution ensuring effective prioritization and completion through self-scheduling or team coordination
Support and coordinate maintenance planning and execution including:
Coordinating maintenance outages
Ensuring process readiness for planned work
Prioritizing maintenance activities based on operational needs and outputs from problem-solving routines
Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance Engineering and other departments to optimize process performance resolve system-level issues and align priorities
Accountable for department performance results (PHE UMS and other KPIs) including monitoring performance identifying gaps developing action plans and delivering sustained improvements
Own 5S and sanitation standards ensuring compliance sustainment and continuous improvement across the department
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science Environmental/Safety Business Management or related discipline preferred
1-5 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to deliver results through engagement of team
2 or more years experience in training with experience in a technical environment (manufacturing engineering etc.) strongly preferred
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proven analytical influence and negotiation skills
Strong leadership skills and driven to deliver results against challenging performance indicators
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms
Willing to relocate now and in the future to one of our production facilities (Preferred)
