The U.S. Vaccines business unit is a critical strategic pillar of Pfizers commercial portfolio representing the largest collective impact on population health and substantial contribution to enterprise revenues and earnings. Our Vaccines protect millions of lives every year across every stage of life. Our inline and pipeline products represent a key part of Pfizers renewed strategy for 2030 and beyond.

Today U.S. Vaccines are largely administered within two traditional channels at point of care (in HCP offices and health systems) and via retail pharmacy. However driven by numerous factors vaccination rates have consistently fallen year over year in the past 5 years culminating in double-digit declines in the latest northern hemisphere winter season of administrations. At the same time intense competition across categories and the involvement of multiple intermediary actors are driving pricing erosion placing significant pressure on vaccine margins and limiting ability to reinvest in the next generation of breakthrough vaccines.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

To meet the urgency this moment demands US Vaccines has established a priority Go to Market Innovation program led by a Pilot in Command under executive sponsorship by the U.S. Commercial Division U.S. Primary Care and U.S. Vaccines tasked with establishing transformative routes to market that will appropriately increase vaccine administration rates and sustain vaccines innovation.

This role will drive marketing awareness and operational execution that bring initiatives to life in the market which include pilots now and the next wave of channels as the strategy scales. This role will report into Susan Schneps (PIC).

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Lead PMO efforts across workstreams to ensure pilot readiness milestones are tracked and achieved while aligning cross-functional and brand teams on near-term execution and long-term readiness.

  • Drive marketing and awareness execution by bringing GTM initiatives to life in the market from patient activation to HCP engagement in close partnership with brand and portfolio marketing teams.

  • Support pilot and channel model execution by coordinating vendors and partners resolving day-to-day challenges and helping stand up and operate new initiatives effectively.

  • Lead market research initiatives in support of gaining additional insights around new channels or customer perspectives.

  • Build the operational foundation for future channels by developing playbooks processes and cross-functional best practices that enable scalable growth and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 6 years of experience.

  • Strong project / program management and operational track record standing up complex multi-workstream efforts.

  • Familiarity with US marketing landscape including HCP pharmacy IDN and payer engagement.

  • Be an active contributor to create and operate in an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of bold innovative ideas.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills demonstrated through impact in prior roles.

  • Act as a role model for Pfizer values.

Nice-to-Have

  • Masters degree with at least 5 years of experience; ORa PhD with 1 years of experience.

  • Marketing experience preferred.

  • Clear communicator with a demonstrated record of cross-functional leadership and influence without authority.

  • Thrives in white space and a fast-paced environment.
