Urologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Urologist conducts thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with urological symptoms and conditions.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and imaging to diagnose urological disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with urological conditions including medical management and surgical interventions.
- Perform surgical procedures including but not limited to prostatectomy nephrectomy and bladder reconstruction.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as cystoscopy and ureteroscopy to diagnose and treat urinary tract conditions.
- The Urologist interprets procedure findings and provides timely reports to patients and referring physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about urological conditions treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
- Offer guidance on preventive measures and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including oncologists radiologists and nephrologists to optimize patient care.
- Consult on complex cases and provide expert opinions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) of patient care.
- The Urologist prepares and submits reports and documentation as required.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Must have board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Urology.
- A full current and unrestricted license in any state is honored.
- Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
