• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) training program preferred.
• Active Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or license preferred.
• Physically capable of performing assigned caregiving duties.
• Ability to safely handle body fluids and other potentially hazardous materials.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients families and healthcare staff.
• Must meet all applicable employment and personnel requirements.
  
  

• Provide compassionate personal care and support to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Follow established safety procedures while delivering patient care.
• Maintain regular communication with the supervising nurse regarding changes in the patients condition.
• Carry out care according to the written care plan and assignments prepared by the Registered Nurse.
• Accurately document all care provided and submit required reports on time.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in the patients physical mental or emotional condition.
• Complete and submit all required documentation in accordance with agency policies.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice for a Home Health Aide as defined by state regulations.
  
  

• Change sterile dressings.
• Irrigate body cavities including administering enemas.
• Irrigate colostomies or wounds.
• Perform gastric irrigation or enteral feeding.
• Insert urinary catheters.
• Administer medications.
• Apply heat treatments by any method.
• Provide tracheostomy care.
• Perform any personal healthcare service that is outside the approved plan of care or beyond their authorized scope of practice.
