77 Consultants is urgently seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) to join our medical practice in Lancaster. - Conduct patient assessments and evaluations in an urgent care setting
- Provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of acute conditions
- Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations
- Manage patient care plans and follow-up treatments
- Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols
- **Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:** Health Connect
t- **Coverage Period:** Immediate start for a duration of 3 months.
- **Shift Schedule:** 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM four shifts weekly including every other weekend and holiday coverage.
- **Call Responsibilities:** No on-call duties required.
- **Patient Demographics and Case Types:** Focused on urgent care and same-day visits that address episodic health issues. Typical cases include cold and flu management suturing X-ray evaluations incision and drainage fracture care and toenail removal. Providers must possess significant experience in high-acuity settings either in standalone urgent care facilities or emergency departments with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
- **Patient Volume:** Anticipate 3 scheduled patients per hour accounting for 2 blocks designated for mentor spots. Appointment duration is 20 minutes for both in-person and video visits and 10 minutes for telephone consultations. Familiarity with telehealth modalities is necessary although the majority of consultations will be face-to-face.
- **Support Staff Availability:** Dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs) will provide support.
- **Certifications and Qualifications:** Candidates must hold a valid California license a furnishing license for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
