Upper School Geometry Teacher (Maternity Leave)

Cincinnati Country Day School is seeking applicants for a full-time maternity leave replacement from October 1 2026 to December 18 2026 teaching four sections of Geometry to ninth grade students. The math curriculum is focused on helping students to:Develop a deep mathematical understanding of why mathematical ideas work and how they connect across topics such as algebra geometry functions and modeling. Cultivate reasoning sense-making and the ability to justify procedural fluency and apply mathematics to real-world the six major conceptual areas of math (number & quantity algebra functions modeling geometry and statistics & probability) to prepare students for college mathematics technical fields and informed citizenship. Qualifications:Bachelors degree in math or related fieldBesides helping the school and department meet its mission the candidate should also have enthusiasm for teaching experience with high school-age students and a willingness to explore new methodologies and technologies for instructionComputer literacy and proficiency experience with technology in the classroom and ability to effectively utilize a learning management systemTeaching Expectations:The teacher will join a congenial and collegial department consisting of five faculty members while being supervised and supported by the math department chair and the head of the upper school.
