Uphosterer

JOB PURPOSE:

Prepare and install upholstery materials including wood foam and material.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Layout and cut materials; operate cutting machine
• Stage materials for jobs per work order
• Use oven to prepare vinyl prior to stapling
• Staple vinyl to pad using staple gun
• Assemble pieces following established procedures; attach backing and punch holes
• Batch finished pads by work order and place in appropriate area
• Box pads as needed
• Make labels using computer and label maker
• Check work for quality
• Operate vinyl picker and pallet jack

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to operate staple gun heat gun vinyl cutter and hand tools (razor wire cutter staple remover)
• Ability to operate computer in order to run label maker
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (read and understand)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 5 lbs frequently 20 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs rarely
• Walk stand bend twist/turn reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
• Operate vinyl picker and pallet jack

Your base wage will be between $20.00 - $22.75 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications experience location and other relevant factors. Youll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
