Summary:
-
Fabricates using design and engineering drawings and aircraft specifications covers and installs flat panels and curtains.
-
Sews simple covers using design and engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
-
Works with fabric vinyl leather hides composites and other materials using specified adhesives sewing equipment hardware hand tools and various power tools.

Cuts and surges carpets covers bulkheads and covers and installs panels.

Fabricates various metal parts fits panels and windows cabin head liners upper sidewalls lower side panels hatch panels and windows.

Uses the material tracking system Corridor to create parts demands track squawks and sign off work.

Reads and interprets blueprints and engineering documentation for upholstery and panel installation.

Uses measuring tools to ensure accurate cutting and installation of materials.

Performs basic math computations for material measurements and layout.

Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and other techniques.
Requirements:
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines sergers and various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations.

Must be computer literate for material tracking and documentation.

Able to climb ladders and stairs work in small restricted areas and lift up to 40 pounds.

Ability to read write speak and understand proficiently the English language.

Experience in aerospace industry preferred.

Ability to work any shift as required.
