Union Support Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare andsubmitunion reports related to construction projects including fringe benefit contribution andjobspecificreporting across multiple unions.

• Review union employee payroll to ensure correct fringe benefit rates classifications and job codes are applied based on union agreements and project requirements.

• Verify union fringes are properlyallocatedto job cost burden and general ledger accounts.

• Identify research and resolve union fringe discrepancies including incorrect rates missing fringes or misclassified labor.

• Create andmaintainpayroll import files to correct union fringe benefits and retroactive adjustments in payroll and ERP systems.

• Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to configure new unions in HRIS and payroll systems including union codes craft classifications fringe rates deductions and reporting setups.

• Assistwith testing andvalidatingnew union setups or rate changes to ensureaccuratepayroll processing prior to rollout.

• Reconcile union fringe liabilities and supportmonthendandquarterendclose for construction labor costs.

• Coordinate with field teams Payroll and HR to confirm union assignments craft classifications and rate changes.

• Maintain organized records of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) fringe schedules and union rate updates by local and trade.

• Support internal and external audits by providing union payroll certified payroll and labor compliance documentation.

• Assistwith compliance related to prevailing wage public works andmultijurisdictionprojects as applicable.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• AssociatesorBachelors degree in Accounting Business or related field preferred.

• 5 years of experience inconstruction payroll or union payroll.

• Strong understanding ofunion fringe benefits craft classifications and collective bargaining agreements.

• Experience supportingmultiple unions and job siteswith varying rates and reporting requirements.

• Advanced Excel skills including preparing andvalidatingpayroll import filesand working with large data sets.

• High attention to detail with strong analytical andproblemsolvingskills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with field operations Payroll HR andAccountingteams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience withprevailingwageor public worksprojects.

• Knowledge of certified payroll reporting and labor compliance.

• Exposure topayroll corrections retroactive fringe adjustments and audit support.

• Familiarity of Workday
