Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our fire business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide the inspection and testing of fire alarm equipment to comply with NFPA72 standards as well as state and local codes
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection report documentation including deficiency repair recommendations
- Communicate with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
- Interact professionally with customers
- Follow and maintain structured inspection schedules
- Communicate inspection status changes or problems to supervisor or manager
- Work overtime when needed
- Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role
- Adhere to local corporate and OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Maintain assigned vehicle tools and equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years experience performing fire alarm inspections testing and troubleshooting
- Valid driver license
- Massachusetts Systems Technician D License required
- Massachusetts S License
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 applicable fire codes and inspection requirements
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm system drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage daily inspection schedules
- Proficiency with mobile devices inspection software and report generation
Salary: $37.87 - $55.00 an hour depending on experience
