AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines Property Casualty Specialty Lines Cyber Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact

• The candidate must have the ability to underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S business while providing leadership direction and technical guidance to the team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across both primary and excess placements.
• Position requires the ability to underwrite 100% primary/shared and layered and excess structures.
• A strong understanding of current market conditions the ability to make timely underwriting decisions manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and drive execution across the team are essential.
• Partner with regional leadership and peers to help shape strategy foster a high-performing culture and continue building a nationally recognized Lexington team.
• Underwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow our E&S portfolio across desired business segments while supporting team production goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues internally and maintain strong visibility and relationships with wholesale trading partners.
• Review and negotiate manuscript form wordings and coverages.
• Lead coach mentor and develop underwriters within the zone providing technical expertise guidance and support for professional growth.
• Assist with portfolio management talent development and execution of regional business objectives.

What youll need to succeed

• An insurance professional with a minimum of 5 years of Commercial E&S underwriting experience.
• Proven ability to underwrite risks across the spectrum of E&S business while providing leadership and direction to a team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across both primary and excess placements.
• Established relationships within the territorys wholesale brokerage community.
• Prior team leadership coaching or mentoring experience with demonstrated success developing underwriters and fostering collaboration.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of CAT modeling including OEP/AEP TvAR AAL and Catastrophic Technical Premiums (TCPs).
• Clear understanding of ISO form usage.
• Ability to influence motivate and drive results across a team while balancing underwriting discipline and growth objectives.

For positions based in Illinois the base salary range for this position is $120000-$150000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
