Job Description
This is a production underwriting position responsible for marketingunderwritingand processingassignedlines of business.
This is a 100%in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.
Essential Responsibilities:
Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions.
Ensure our marketing initiatives are achieved and that consistent communication of our products and servicesareprovided to our appointed brokers.
Assistregional manager and product leaders in further developing existing broker relations as well asestablishnew relationships to attract business opportunities.
Develop andmaintaina submission pipeline sufficient to achieve overall production and business mixobjectives.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university plus at least one year of underwritingor equivalent experience and education.
Strong computer skills. Proficient in PowerPoint Excel Outlook and Word.
Excellent organization skillsvery stronganalyticaloraland written communication skills.
The ability to meet tight deadlines is essential.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills and a professional attitudeneeded.
Must be able to quickly evaluate the accuracy of data and information.
Ability to interact and communicate with various levels of the organization tocross sellor address processing requirements.
Ability to work independently with guidance and procedures provided.
Activelyparticipatein client and broker meetings as.
Use market contacts to bring innewbusinessgatherand share market intelligence andcross sellvariousproducts.
Participate in special projects and assignments asrequested.
Ability to travel
The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
In addition to base salary this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
Chicago Pay Range: $81294- $134232
