Undergraduate ResearchScholarly Activity Assistant

• $14.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 3-6 hours per week

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

This position provides undergraduate students with hands-on experience in research and scholarly activity across a variety of disciplines including STEM social sciences health care and the arts and humanities. Students who are hired for this position will work with a faculty mentor on a research or scholarly project that aligns with their interests qualifications and the needs of the project.

Applicants will meet with an Experiential Learning Coordinator from the Experiential Learning Center to discuss their interests and experience and identify potential faculty mentors. The final hiring decision will be made by the faculty mentor.

• Supporting faculty-led research or creative scholarly projects
• Collecting organizing and/or analyzing research data samples or materials
• Conducting literature reviews and assisting with interviews observations surveys or experiments
• Organizing research notes files reports and other project materials
• Contributing to scholarly papers presentations reports exhibits or performances
• Creating and maintaining online or digital project resources
• Attending project meetings seminars and related scholarly events
• Developing original creative work and explore concepts materials and techniques
• Handling confidential information and complete related clerical or administrative tasks
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Must be an undergraduate student
• Completion of all annual training required by Human Resources
• Completion of required meetings with Experiential Learning Coordinator in the Experiential Learning Center
• Completion of required Experiential Learning meetings and self-assessments
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
