Lead Security Officer

Location: Staunton Virginia
Schedule: MondayThursday 08:4519:00
Compensation: $22.00 per hour 40 paid hours weekly
Additional Stipend: $200.00 per month for maintaining and serving under the required Compliance Agent license
Anticipated Start: Week of July 27 2026

Excelsior Defense is seeking a dependable and experienced security professional to serve as the Site Supervisor and Compliance Agent to serve as the Lead Security Officer for a medical cannabis dispensary in Staunton Virginia.

The selected candidate will work 39 operational hours and receive one additional paid administrative hour each week for site-support responsibilities totaling 40 paid hours.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain an active Compliance Agent license throughout employment.
• Provide professional security coverage during assigned operating hours.
• Support the clients access-control safety and regulatory requirements.
• Help ensure all scheduled security shifts remain properly covered.
• Coordinate coverage issues with Excelsior Defense management.
• Provide operational support and guidance to the part-time officer.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Immediately escalate security staffing or compliance concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with client representatives.
• Perform the one weekly administrative hour as authorized for site needs.

Minimum qualifications:

• Must possess the required active Compliance Agent license.
• Must meet all Virginia requirements for performing unarmed security services.
• Previous security supervisory regulated-facility or dispensary experience is preferred.
• Must be reliable professional and capable of working independently.
• Must have strong written reporting and communication skills.
• Must be available for the entire MondayThursday schedule.
