About This Role This position supports Protective Services within SecurTecs Physical Security division safeguarding a courthouse in St. Petersburg FL.
Position Summary Unarmed Security Officers assigned to this post are responsible for the protection of personnel property and assets at a courthouse facility. Officers serve as a visible deterrent control site access monitor for suspicious activity and respond to incidents in accordance with post orders and established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional unarmed protective presence at all assigned posts
- Control and monitor facility access points verifying credentials and screening visitors
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols to identify and address security concerns
- Monitor surveillance systems alarms and communications equipment
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents alarms and emergencies
- Document activity observations and incidents in detailed written reports
- Enforce site-specific post orders facility rules and applicable regulations
- Coordinate with site supervision client representatives court personnel and emergency responders as needed
- Maintain professional appearance conduct and communication at all times
- Valid Florida Class D Security License
- Strong observation communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods in varying weather conditions
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Shift Availability This is a 24/7 post. All shifts are available including days evenings overnights weekends and holidays. Both full-time and part-time positions are open.
