Unarmed Security Officer Cruise Operations

• Monitor and control access points to the cruise terminal and onboard areas ensuring only authorized personnel and passengers enter secured zones.
• Verify credentials tickets and identification documents for passengers crew members and vendors.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the terminal on boarding bridges and at designated port locations.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations including medical incidents fire alarms and security breaches following established protocols.
• Document and report all incidents suspicious activities and daily security observations accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with cruise line personnel port authorities law enforcement and emergency services.
• Provide courteous customer service assisting passengers with inquiries directions and securityrelated concerns.
• Assist in the coordination of crowd control and passenger flow during peak boarding and disembarkation periods.
• Participate in regular training drills safety briefings and security audits.
• Support leadership in implementing security policies procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (or comparable experience if formal education is unavailable).
• Valid unarmed security officers license or ability to obtain one in the State of Florida.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong observational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for incident reporting.

• Prior experience in access control port security or cruiseline operations.
• Demonstrated experience in emergency response and incident reporting.
• Customer service background with a focus on hospitality environments.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV metal detectors and badge readers.
• Knowledge of local state and federal security regulations applicable to maritime and port operations.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays.

• Hourly wage: $18.00 per hour.
