Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy Radiology department on a contract assignment. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations assist radiologists with imaging procedures and ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining imaging equipment and departmental workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures

  • Obtain and submit high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation

  • Transfer images to PACS and ensure study accuracy and completeness

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively

  • Perform routine equipment checks cleaning and minor troubleshooting

  • Ensure patient comfort privacy and safety during procedures

  • Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling activities

  • Maintain adequate inventory and supplies for ultrasound procedures

  • Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare staff

  • Assist with training and orientation of new ultrasound personnel

  • Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years of Recent Ultrasound Technologist Experience Required

  • Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

  • ARDMS Certification Required

  • ARRT Certification or Equivalent Education/Training Required

  • Current AHA BLS Certification Required

  • Strong Knowledge of Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Techniques

  • Experience with PACS and Electronic Documentation Systems

  • Strong Communication and Patient Care Skills

  • Ability to Work Independently and in a Team Environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
