Ultrasound Technologist (Registered) Prostate Sonography

Location: New York NY 10029
Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hour
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have strong ultrasound imaging experience hands-on experience with VU Ultrasound systems and proficiency in prostate sonography.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following departmental protocols
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures
Transfer images accurately to PACS and physician workstations
Ensure patient safety comfort and privacy throughout procedures
Maintain clean and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed
Assist with scheduling patient flow and departmental workflow
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
Assist with orientation and training of new staff when needed

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
Experience with VU Ultrasound systems required
Prostate sonography experience required
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
ARDMS certification required
BLS certification required
Strong ultrasound imaging and patient care skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills

Experience in hospital-based radiology departments
PACS and EMR experience
Strong attention to detail and clinical accuracy
