POSITION SUMMARY:
- Performs high-quality ultrasound exams using proper techniques equipment settings and independent judgment to capture accurate diagnostic images
- Ensures patient care and safety including preparation positioning communication and adherence to universal precautions
- Supports radiologists with image-guided procedures (e.g. paracentesis thoracentesis hysterosonograms)
- Manages workflow and documentation including RIS/PACS scheduling coordination patient communication and accurate recordkeeping
- Maintains quality control and compliance including equipment QA ACR standards and ongoing professional development
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
- Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
- Must be registered through ARDMS with AB OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific
