Ultrasound Tech - Hospital Ultrasound

PRN - As needed/Varied Shift

Job Description:

The Ultrasound Tech performs a variety of ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions and monitoring patient health.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Allied Health education program (diagnostic medical sonography radiologic technology respiratory therapy occupational therapy physical therapy nursing) and 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or 2. Diploma or degree from an ultrasound/vascular program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA); or 3. Bachelors degree (any major) and 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or 4. Bachelors degree in sonography or vascular technology; or higher.

• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

• Completion of ARDMS Registry within six months of eligibility required.

• BLS preferred upon hire required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.

• Additional certification in specialized ultrasound modalities (e.g. abdominal obstetric vascular) preferred.
