Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level II Inspector

• Qualifications: ActiveLevel II Certificationin Ultrasonic Testing (UT) compliant with standards such asNAS 410ASNT SNT-TC-1A and/or
• Certification: Able to successfully pass internal written general specific and practical exams.
• Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required ability to obtain aSecurity Clearance.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent often supplemented by specialized NDT technical training or an associate degree.
• Technical Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of ultrasonic theory transducer selection sound beam physics and familiarity with aerospace or industrial codes likeNAVSEAASME.

• Conduct Advanced Inspections: Perform ultrasonic testingincluding shear wave straight beam and thickness gaugingon complex geometries steel forgings steel cylinders etc.
• Standardize and Calibrate: Set up standardize and verify the performance of immersion and contact ultrasonic equipment to ensure system accuracy before use.
• Interpret and Evaluate Results: Analyze A-scan B-scan and C-scan ultrasonic recordings to identify and document flaws or defects according to strict customer
