Leidos Defense Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test is seeking a motivated and ambitious UAS Interoperability Technician to join the Software Simulation Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Technology and Certification position performs integration testing and certification of the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Command Control Computers Communications and Intelligence (C4I) technologies while operating in software or hardware in the loop simulated environments. This individual will work within an established test team comprised of UAS Operators Technicians and Engineers contributing to various aspects of UAS interoperability supporting the conduct of testing and certification assisting in the production of reports and summarizing findings for customer briefings.

Primary Responsibilities
Individuals must be self-motivated to do excellent work that exceeds customer expectations. Candidate must always present a professional demeanor while representing Leidos to customers and stakeholders. Candidate must be willing to travel as needed to locations across the U.S.
Perform Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) based on system capability requirements developed and established by the customer.
Perform Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing of candidate system software and hardware.
Conduct thorough testing based on established procedures and standards and support development of procedures derived from current and future system requirements documentation.
Develop solutions to complex interoperability problems during all phases of testing.
Work closely with the JSIL leadership to provide support during the systems development lifecycle.
Interface with the customer to help establish testing practices and meet their software and hardware delivery needs.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science Information Technology Engineering Mathematics) plus 2-4 years of experience or Masters degree with less than 2 years in a technical discipline (Computer Science Information Technology Engineering Mathematics). In lieu of a degree 9 years of UAS equivalent experience will be considered.
Familiarity with UAS flight and mission operations.
UAS C4I Technologies (tactical messaging payload product dissemination).
UAS simulation software and hardware technologies
UAS integration and testing.
Test procedure development.
Must be a U.S. citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
On-site work (no remote/hybrid options) with ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Certification.
Other Qualifications
Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:
Operational UAS experience (operator or maintainer/technician).
UAS data communications (Tactical Common Datalink Blue Force Tracker Link-16 emerging UAS communication technology).
Familiarity with C4I software and interfaces to include tactical messaging interfaces as defined by DoDAF and AIC mission test threads.
Comfortable interfacing with customers and working in dynamic environments require expertise on a variety of existing and emerging UAS systems.
Ability to work independently as well as participate in group projects/test events.
Hands-on experience in technical disciplines including payloads data links and/or command and control.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59150.00 - $106925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
