Job Title: Twos Program Assistant at Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy

Description: In this role youll help create a fun engaging and safe environment where children can grow and learn while upholding the YMCA values of honesty respect responsibility and caring. • Help provide a safe nurturing and engaging environment for young children
• Support lead teachers with daily activities and classroom supervision
• Foster the YMCAs core values of honesty respect responsibility and caring
• Assist with implementing curriculum and guiding structured and free play activities
• Promote positive behavior and help maintain classroom routines
• Attend to childrens basic needs including meals rest and outdoor play
• Participate in staff meetings trainings and family engagement events

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA credential or equivalent preferred
• Completion of DCF MODS (Introductory Child Care Training Parts 1 & 2)
• 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting
• Able to work with infants toddlers and young children both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to sit stand walk bend talk hear and lift up to 40 lbs
• Must be comfortable participating in activities and engaging physically with children
• Vision requirements include close/distance vision depth perception and focus adjustment
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Clear a Level 2 background check*
