Job Description Tube Mill Production Manager

Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the tube mill ensuring safe efficient and consistent production while meeting quality delivery. This role oversees supervisors leads & operators on the floor coordinates closely with maintenance quality and scheduling and drives continuous improvement across the tube mill operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Champion a zero-injury safety culture by actively engaging employees at all levels and collaborating with EHS to ensure compliance and safe work practices.
  • Lead train and hold operators and leads accountable to standard work and expectations.
  • Work closely with maintenance to ensure reliable machine performance and direct scheduling to plan around downtime.
  • Work with die shop qc engineering and maintenance to see projects through to completion.
  • Own daily and weekly production schedules modify and adjust based on demand material constraints or staffing issues.
  • Manage scheduling and coordinate with sales to plan production manage WIP and meet the customer orders.
  • Responsible for consumable inventory levels and coordinating with purchasing to maintain stock levels on billets naphtha oven pads and other appropriate items.
  • Coordinate with QC to investigate root cause of non-conformities and help with closing out action items.
  • Drive CI activities focused on scrap reduction changeover & setup times.
  • Assist shipping with monthly and yearly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage raw materials WIP and finished goods inventory and present it to sales in daily production meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering manufacturing or a related field preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3 years of operations leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with extrusion & tube drawing process is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range:

68000.00 - 102000.00
