Truss Operations Manager

An established and growing structural building components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Truss Operations Manager to lead plant operations drive production performance and develop high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations for a truss production facility.
  • Manage production schedules to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Develop coach and mentor production supervisors and hourly team members.
  • Monitor production metrics labor utilization and operational KPIs.
  • Coordinate with design sales purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain high standards for product quality and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Assist with workforce planning hiring training and employee development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes equipment utilization and productivity.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of leadership experience in truss manufacturing wall panel manufacturing or structural building components.
  • Strong understanding of wood truss manufacturing processes and production flow.
  • Proven ability to lead teams improve operational performance and drive accountability.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing continuous improvement or process optimization is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering sales and operations teams.
  • Knowledge of production planning inventory management and scheduling.
  • Experience with MiTek Alpine Eagle Metal or similar industry software is beneficial but not required.
