An established and growing structural building components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Truss Operations Manager to lead plant operations drive production performance and develop high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily manufacturing operations for a truss production facility.
Manage production schedules to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality efficiency and cost reduction.
Develop coach and mentor production supervisors and hourly team members.
Monitor production metrics labor utilization and operational KPIs.
Coordinate with design sales purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain high standards for product quality and compliance with engineering specifications.
Implement and enforce safety policies and promote a positive safety culture.
Assist with workforce planning hiring training and employee development.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes equipment utilization and productivity.
Qualifications
8 years of leadership experience in truss manufacturing wall panel manufacturing or structural building components.
Strong understanding of wood truss manufacturing processes and production flow.
Proven ability to lead teams improve operational performance and drive accountability.
Experience with lean manufacturing continuous improvement or process optimization is highly preferred.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering sales and operations teams.
Knowledge of production planning inventory management and scheduling.
Experience with MiTek Alpine Eagle Metal or similar industry software is beneficial but not required.
