WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

The Driver is responsible for driving a company truck and transporting loads to customer accounts helping ensure materials arrive safely and on schedule.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT

• Drive tractor & trailer which may require shifting and use of a clutch on assigned vehicle
• Complete the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) noting any defects on assigned equipment daily Driver Log and Monthly Mileage Report
• Follow all Federal State and Local driving regulations and ordinances
• Perform minor repair or cleaning of can densifiers
• Use required PPE as needed including proper ear eye and hand protection
• Clean and perform basic upkeep/maintenance on assigned vehicles
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Interact in person with peers and management for the duration of the shift
• Handle high-stress situations as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Basic requirements:

• 2 years of verifiable related driving experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• CDL A license with an acceptable driving record and a valid medical card
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to follow safety procedures for safe vehicle operation
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Physical requirements:

• Remain in a seated position for the duration of the shift
• Frequently operate controls to position load and unload the truck
• Frequently lift and move materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs to load/unload and tarp the truck and perform basic maintenance
• Work in a loud wet dusty and physically demanding environment including extreme hot and cold temperature variations
• Routinely perform repetitive movements such as bending twisting reaching and lifting

• Pay: $24/hr
• Schedule: Full-Time 1st Shift
• Weekly pay
• 16 days of PTO in your first year
