Truck Driver, Class A Local Heavy Haul, Flatbed

Located in Fort Wayne Indiana QSL Transport specializes in the hauling of heavy equipment over dimensional loads and wind turbines throughout United States and Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport oversize overweight and specialized freight within designated local and regional operating areas.
• Conduct pre-trip en-route and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment remains safe and compliant.
• Secure cargo using chains binders straps tarps and other approved load securement methods.
• Follow permit requirements approved routes escort instructions and all applicable transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs inspection reports and required transportation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch customers escorts and operations personnel.
• Support safe and efficient project execution while representing the company professionally.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCEED:

• Valid Class A commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for oversize heavy haul transportation.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oversized heavy haul transportation.
• Experience with permits escorts and oversize routing preferred
• Strong safety record and commitment to compliance
• Ability to handle irregular routes within the Midwest region
• Ideal for experienced drivers seeking flexible project-based oversize work

Qualifications :

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Hourly Rate: $30.84/hour (base rate)
• Signing Bonus: $2500
• Flexible local heavy haul work supporting specialized customer projects
• Training & Development: Work with state-of-the-art equipment and gain experience in specialized heavy haul operations

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Local routes Primarily local routes with most work returning home same day
• Primarily flatbed RGN or Step Deck oversize and specialized cargo projects
• Operations focused across Indiana Illinois and Michigan
• Schedule based on project and operational needs; hours may vary week to week
